Welcome to my website!
I am an Assistant Professor of Applied Economics and Policy at Cornell University's SC Johnson College of Business. I'm interested in improving the design of consumer debt markets and thinking about problems that can arise due to information asymmetry in these settings. I believe that structural econometric modeling provides a powerful tool for exploring policy design in situations where experimentation is challenging or impossible. I'm also an avid proponent of Python and other computational tools for approaching problems in economics. You can learn a bit more about my background and academic interests here.
I completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to my graduate studies, I also worked as an Economist within Deloitte’s Economics practice in London, United Kingdom. As a part of this work I engaged with clients in Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) industries, focusing on issues including regulatory economics, competition, economic modeling, public policy and strategy.
